Nando’s Peri Peri Chicken

Every time I drive East on the QEW towards Toronto, I always pass by Nando’s on Brant Street but never end up actually eating there. I found out about their Hamilton location when I was on my way to Pattie’s Burger Bar last month. Then a couple of weeks later, I received an email from Nando’s communication’s team inviting me to their blogger event!Read More »

Caro

A few friends and I headed to Ottawa Street to check out Caro, the new Italian restaurant that sprung up in the East end. Right at the corner of Ottawa and Main, this bright restaurant adds to the eclectic collection of shops over there. Sunlight beams in from the two street-side windows of this classically modern space, fantastic lighting for photos. The first thing you’ll notice is the red tiled back splash behind the bar. The huge typographic mural that says “Beloved” and the living wall are also instant  eye-catchers. You can also find a shelf of sprouts and herbs by the kitchen window soaking up the Vitamin D.Read More »

CIMA Enoteca

I’ve been waiting for the opening of CIMA since the owners’ of Romano’s mentioned it. Once the Cheese Shoppe on Locke closed down, they jumped at the opportunity. I was ecstatic that the restaurant was going to be Italian because it’s one of my favourites! My love will never die for Romano’s, but damn, when you see the decor and taste the food, you’d make the trip down to Locke Street too.Read More »

The Beverly on Locke

The newest addition to Locket Street in Hamilton is the fancy-pants, breakfast and brunch restaurant called, The Beverly. Some of you might have seen their teaser tweets and posts on social media before opening weekend. They made us curious about their beautifully designed space and brand. Well, it got me lookin’! I went with Jen (@tastehamont) and our SO’s on their second day and dove in with high expectations. With so much detail poured into decor, furniture, branding, and just all the little things, it seemed like they were familiar with the restaurant biz.Read More »

Skip the Dishes + GIVEAWAY

There is a new food delivery kid in town! Similar to JustEat.ca and UberEats, Skip the Dishes is an app that will bring you food from nearby restaurants. But unlike the other apps, it has special features like filtering by distance, time, fee, and score. The most helpful tabs are the fees and the scores. Delivery fees range from free to $5 and when I’m feeling like a cheap-fuck, I’ll sort the restaurants by fee.Read More »
