Sushi and Sashimi Dinner | $23

After hearing good things about Kampai, I had to see for myself. I brought my mom here on a Sunday night, we arrived around 6:30pm and got a seat right away. Tom Yum Soup

Thai Memory

The restaurant is located on King William Street – it’s also in walking distance to Jackson Square in Downtown Hamilton. King William Street is actually a pretty nice area. We were able to find a parking spot right in front of the restaurant – parking is also free on weekends and on weekdays after 6pm. Inside, the walls were filled with authentic Thai décor, fixtures, furniture and art. There was also a shelf showcasing a collection of unique products from Thailand. The dining area was dimly lit with light seeping through the blinds. There was also am interesting collection of tables and chairs. There were authentic tree trunks as tables and chairs and beautifully carved wood chairs. There were plants and ornaments hanging from the ceiling and around the fountain. It’s definitely and interesting setting and environment for lunch and dinner.Read More »

Ryus Noodle Bar

This is one of three competing noodle restaurants in Baldwin Village. Their menu is minimal and clear, with beautiful photography. I haven’t been to a lot of ramen restaurants, but ordering was kinda different. Each ramen comes with a special sauce and there are six to choose from. They recommend that you add the special sauce after you’ve eaten half of the ramen. It allows you experience a different flavour of your noodles! Interesting!Read More »
