Whenever my friends and I don’t feel like driving down the Linc to Upper James for pho, we go to Royal Pho. It’s a great alternative if you’ve been to the same pho restaurants over and over again. The décor is interesting and authenic. The walls are covered in a pastel green with dark wood paneling and furniture. It’s a clean, brightly lit and family-friendly restaurant.

I usually just get rare beef and beef ball pho. My friends will also get pho, vermicelli or spring rolls. The broth of the pho is clear and tasty. The noodles are thin and soft, but they still hold their shape. The garnishes are fresh and clean, great toppings.

Overall, it’s a pretty good restaurant with authentic Vietnamese dishes. Their avocado milkshakes are delicious as well!
